Network Support Technician

Job Description:  Digital Seattle is seeking a highly motivated and experienced network support technician with superior customer service skills. 

 

Responsibilities Include:

* Help Desk – Providing Clients with telephone, remote and on-site technical support

* PC Installation, Configuration and Troubleshooting (Win 2000/XP)

* Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting and Monitoring of Clients’ BackUp systems (Symantec, BackUp Exec)

* Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting and Monitoring of Clients’ AntiVirus software (Symantec, Trend Micro)

* Assist in Installation and Configuration of MS Win 2003/2008, MS Exchange 2003/2007 and MS SBS 2003 Servers

* Active Directory Administration

* Monitoring of Client System logs and activity reports on all Client Servers

* Provide basic troubleshooting of Connectivity issues for Cisco PIX firewall and MS ISA Servers 

* Management and Tracking of Client Hardware/Software Inventory

* Must be able to respond to network outages, scheduled installations, and maintenance activities during off-hours.

* 24x7support may be required on a rotating, scheduled basis

 

Qualifications:

*Strong Windows XP/2000/2003/Vista OS and Network Support/Configuration skills

*Minimum 3+ years installation, configuration and support of MS Win XP and Win 2000/2003/2008 Servers,

*Minimum 3+ years installation, configuration and support Symantec BackUp Exec

*Minimum 3+ years installation, configuration and support Symantec AntiVirus. 

*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with positive client-focused outlook and tolerance for high-stress situations.

 

Education/Certifications:

Computer or related technical degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience and practical knowledge

MCP required, MCSE, CCNA and Certified A+ desirable

Must have a valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles
