Network and Database Administrator
Purpose
Network Administration
Support internal and/or external networks. Maintain all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoot network performance issues. Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. This position will analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.
Database Administration
Design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. This position is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport MSS technology infrastructure and provide technical support to multiple client agency’s users with key provisions of high performance, improved productivity, reduced telecommunication cost, improved business continuity and high security. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain products/equipment. Respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution. Train The Center staff and the nonprofit agencies end-users. Develop high degree of technical expertise in all aspects of the Center’s CRM administration, configuration, reporting and user support. Develop high degree of technical expertise in all aspects of Blackbaud applications including administration, configuration, reporting and user support. Administer, configure, and support a CRM database for The Center and for the clients. Maintain The Center’s website when needed as well as MSS client websites. Other duties, as defined by the IT Manager
RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent supplemented by nine years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience. Professional certifications, CRM experience and nonprofit experience are a plus. Must be familiar with best practices, standard concepts, practices, and procedures in Information Technology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem solving skills are essential Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
Special Requirements and Physical Demands:
§ Position requires frequent travel in the local area. Must have a reliable vehicle, and requires maintaining a valid Florida State drivers’ license with a satisfactory driving record and eligibility for coverage under any applicable agency insurance.
§ Ability and willingness to participate in ongoing professional development activities in order to keep current on new developments in the field and to enhance skills already maintained.Requires safely lifting or moving up to 25 lbs on an occasional basis, for example movement of materials or texts.
