Operational Risk Project Manager
Our financial services client is seeking a full time Project Manager with Operational Risk experience to join their PMO team. This is a VP position and is focused on Operational Risk and implementing Operational Risk project management and infrastructure, including project planning and management, status reporting, issues identification and resolution, and updating and maintaining project databases and reporting tools.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the implementation of multiple projects or a single large, complex project.
· Oversee and coordinate significant cross functional and cross organizational dependencies embedded in assigned project(s).
· Coordinate with program office senior management and other project managers working on related projects to ensure overall program success.
· Develop and manage project plans.
· Oversee the development and implementation of status reporting, recommendations, and action plans relative to assigned project plans.
· Serve as lead client relationship manager and manage client expectations.
· Oversee communication and status reporting with client groups.
· Investigate inquiries from various internal organizations and follows through to ensure that implementation problems and issues are addressed.
· Assist in preparing various statuses, activity and performance reports for senior management.
· Provide counsel as a technical, subject matter resource for systems and client staff.
· Make decisions on the effectiveness and efficiency of daily operations and implement adjustments and enhancement as needed.
PROBLEM RESOLTION:
· Set the strategic direction and action plans for the resolution of extremely complex and high impact implementation problems.
· Work across organization to develop consensus and communicate decisions.
COMMUNICATION:
· Document project plans and requirements with clear, concise language, consistent with the requirements methodology framework.
· Use a broad array of communication vehicles to lead, direct, and facilitate implementation efforts.
PROCESS:
· Partner with technology and business managers to provide overall strategic leadership in developing and maintaining disciplined processes.
· Oversees complex internal process effectiveness.
