Oracle Application Lead

The role and focus of the Program Manager is to meet the quality goal of delivering product within project constraints. To meet this goal, the program manager oversees and drives the project delivery schedule, manages the specification process, and the budget for the project. This role resides within the Product Development Group.As the owner of the development schedule, the program manager collects all team schedules, validates them, and integrates them into a master schedule that is tracked and reported to the team and to stakeholders. The Program Manager must create, publish, and maintain a project plan. As the owner of the features, this person plays a role in defining which features will be delivered in order to meet the requirements. Program management owns the functional specification (what is to be built) and the master project plan (how it is going to be built) and facilitates their creation by getting input from each of the roles on the team. This person may have direct reports who are developers or quality assurance staff members.The Program Manager must oversee a variety of specific tasks and maintains overall responsibility for each of the following tasks as well as be able to code when needed and assist in code reviews:Actively Manages the Specification ProcessOversees Project Delivery ScheduleResources ProjectsManages Risk for Line-of-Business ProductsRepresents the Product TeamProvides Product Marketing SupportValidates Adherence to Product Development Processes and StandardsResponsible for Understanding Product Position and Integration ImpactsCreate object-oriented applications in support of the companys development goals.Assist, mentor, and supervise developers and QA staff members.Modify existing components based on client needs, redesign, rebuild and retest and deploy applications.Design applications by writing technical specifications for the Visual Basic objects, database schema, and web interface.Test all components including database, DLLs, and web interface.Manage the build and deployment process.Qualified candidates must have Oracle functional and technical knowledge, leadership skills, project management experience, must be able to manage business and staff, jack of all trades.
