Oracle DBA

HTECHKG62065 Oracle DBA Job Description: This role is responsible for the support, maintenance, testing, documentation, and implementation of Oracle databases and Oracle applications in a Linux environment. This person will work with other members of the IS team including Database Administrators, Systems Analysts, System Administrators, Project managers, Network Analysts and System Managers through all phases of the applications development cycle. Responsibilities: Manage all Oracle application and global Oracle databases by performing DBA tasks including: Oracle applications support Oracle database performance monitoring and tuning Oracle database backups, restores and refreshes Application and testing of Oracle applications and database patches Oracle database creation Oracle web server and application server creation and support Design and develop effective mechanisms for the migration of data from legacy systems Review and advise on technical solution designs Develop and implement work plans to meet project and support requirements Work with Project Managers to define and estimate project tasks and deliverables Develop and maintain system technical documentation, patch logs, and systems management procedures Qualifications: 5+ years Experience administering Oracle databases in a Oracle applications environment Understanding of database structures and experience developing application database interfaces. Excellent knowledge of Unix, Linux, and Windows Server Knowledge and experience developing and maintaining backup / restore strategies.
