VA Health Administration Center (HAC) is requesting hardware system administrative and technical support, database design and development services for the purpose of aligning hardware, database and software architectures with the established design lifecycle.  The Fee Payment Processing System (FPPS) provides the VA with access to electronically submitted health care claims through a custom Java application.  There is a backlog of enhancements and maintenance change requests (CR) for the FPPS system and an additional system administrator/database administrator is required to accommodate the workload.  The expected duration of the engagement is six months. 

 

System administrator/database administrator (SA/DBA) to assist with working the backlog of change requests.  The SA/DBA shall have past experience in mid-level server management, Redhat Linux operating systems, Oracle database and application server products, business and technical requirements documentation and Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant IT systems design that lead to successful IT development and systems implementation.  The SA/DBA shall provide his or her own administrative and project support.  The SA/DBA will have Redhat Linux, JBoss, Oracle Database 10g and Oracle Application Server 10g experience with a focus on transactional database structures and high-availability.  The contractor SA/DBA will work along side HAC Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) personnel ensuring that any specific requirements are addressed and implemented appropriately.

 

Systems Research Group (SRG) is a Colorado based EOE company providing technical services to a variety of government customers, including National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Earth System Research Laboratory, Global Systems Division (NOAA/ESRL/GSD), United States Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center (USGS/NEIC) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  Services include systems administration, systems analysis, technical field operations, logistical support, software and database design and operations, clerical support, physical science and special projects development and support.
