Position:  Database Developer

Location:  Plano, TX

Duration:  Contract (6 months +)

Pay:  Negotiable depending on experience

Qualifications:Candidate should have strong understanding of SDL best practices including the creation of code/documents in order to specifically support the following phases. Requirements gathering, Design, Develop/Code and Unit Testing. Candidate should also have experience with source code control, config management, release planning, and deployment best practices. Candidate must be capable of working with geographically dispersed team and accountable for delivery with limited over-sight. Candidate should have strong communication skills and be capable of communicating complex solutions to business customers.

Required: 3+ years Oracle PL/SQL & SQL experience3+ years Oracle DBA experience3+ years UNIX experienceBusiness Objects DesignerExperience designing and developing universes, and canned reports3+ years Cold Fusion experience3+ years troubleshooting and analysis

Responsibilities: Looking for a Sustainment Developer to support Business Markets Group Commissions systems. Successful candidate should have extensive experience in providing technical business customer support for internal use production software solutions. Day-to-day activities would include but not be limited to the following.

1)  Perform technical issue triage and research in order to determine whether or not a software bug exists. 2) Resolve software bugs using SDL best practices.

2)  Ongoing communication with development team to ensure alignment with application releases.

3)  Development of auxiliary needs; reports, business objects universes, UNIX scripts.

4)  Support of business objects environments; defining reporting needs and assisting with ad hoc report requests.

5)  Monitor and resolve issues with daily operations.

6)  Interact with Business Customers.
