Oracle RAC Database Administrator

Salary commensurate with experience.

 

Responsibilities:  Database administrator for Oracle & SQL server databases; establish & maintain databases; work with developers to design & implement database objects; provide database problem support to developers, business analysts, & business users; perform monitoring & turning of hardware resources (cpu, memory, & disk storage) management, as well as capacity planning; monitor, troubleshoot & resolve database issues; monitor, analyze, & tune the database performance; establish & maintain standard for database related emergency during & after office hours.

 

Conditions of employment:  Some travel required.  Must have a valid Ohio driver's license.  May work additional hours as necessary.  Serves at the pleasure of the Attorney General per Ohio Revised Code 124.14(B)(2).

 

Pre-employment conditions:  Background checks required. 

 

Minimum Qualfications:  Completion of bachelor core program in computer science or related field & 5 years experience in Oracle database administration 9i or 10g RAC; & database programming including the use of triggers & stored procedures.

Preferred qualifications: Technical certification from Oracle & experience with full life cycle development; MS SQL server database administration; Oracle grid control or DBConsole; disaster recovery; & strong PL/SQL skills.
