Work with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing problems, improve product quality and reduce manufacturing costs. Design and troubleshoot PLC, HMI and SCADA based control systems. Design and test server database logging, device communications, alarm recording, and trend analysis tools. Debug software and electro mechanical control systems. Carry out projects to design, install and modify plant equipment including vacuum furnaces, CNC machine tools and presses. Interface with Engineers to determine requirements and support acceptance testing. Development of detailed test plans for integration or module testing. Integrate hardware, OEM and custom software into reliable, robust systems. 2 yrs understanding P&ID and elementary electrical drawings. Basic project management. US Citizen or Green Card required. Position is on-site East Hartford, CT. 2yrs support of factory automation process control systems including: hands on development, implementation and troubleshooting of ladder logic on Programmable Logic Controllers (i.e., A/B PLC5, SLC500, ControlLogix) 2yrs development and implementation of SCADA/HMI systems (i.e., GeFanuc Proficy, iFix, A/B PanelView and RSView) that interface with PLCs and networked factory systems(i.e., Serial, Datahighway Plus, Ethernet). 2yrs programmingVB and SQL.
