PR/Marketing Intern

OCLC Online Computer Library Center, Inc. is a nonprofit, membership, computer library service and research organization dedicated to the public purposes of furthing access to the world's information and reducing information costs. Tens of thousands of libraries around the world use OCLC services to locate, acquire, catalog, lend and preserve library materials. We are currently seeking candidates for a PR/Marketing Intern position in our headquarters in Dublin, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

The Public Relations/Marketing intern will support the Director of Communications and the Manager of Segment Marketing in project related tasks. Update e-mail and mail distribution lists for press releasesFiling of media clips and basic media clip tracking and analysisCreate database and data entry of product attributes and messagingAssist conference team in organizing and packaging materials for ALAPrepare mailing lists for direct marketing activitiesAssist with administration of hosted Web presentationsAssist with the development and distribution of promotional materials for WorldCat.org and WorldCat Local

Qualfications:Solid written and oral communciation skills (candidate should provide writing samples)Working knowledge of MS Office, Word and PowerPointKnowledge of marketing communications, and/or public relations vehiclesInterest in new technologies, social networking tools (webcasts, facebook, you tue, etc.)
