Job Title: Programmer

Reports To:  Director – Applications Development

 

Golfsmith’s Information Services Team is a highly skilled group that develops, maintains and supports the entire set of Retail applications throughout the Company.  This opportunity is ideal for one who has superior Oracle PL/SQL or SQL Server programming skills.  The Programmer will need to be proficient and energetic with an understanding of system development life cycle and will be responsible for developing and supporting our applications.

 

 Job Responsibilities:   Responsible for working with users to gather user requirements and creating specification documentsCreating custom Oracle functionality and test plansSupport and maintain existing applicationsAbility to work and produce required results with little to no close supervisionWillingness to learn new technologies including SQL Server and .Net

 

Current Production Environment: Multiple Sun systems running Solaris v2.9 (E450, E3000, E4500, E6500, E6900) Oracle DBMS at  v8.1.7 (8i) Oracle Applications at v11.0.3 (HR, Finance, Payroll, MRP, Order Entry, etc.) SQL Server 2000 with .Net applications Microsoft Windows Server 2003 - NT desktop and BackOffice environment MySQL applications developed in PHP language

 

 Essential Requirements and Qualifications:

Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent business experience preferred 3 years total programming experience



Required SkillsOracle PL/SQL or SQL server programming experience - minimum of 2 years 3 years total programming experience

 

Additional Desired SkillsApplication Development experience Sun Solaris experience SQL Server 2000 experience
