Paint Engineer
TITLE: PAINT ENGINEER II
REPORTS TO: GROUP MANAGER
SUPERVISES: N/A
GENERAL SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Produce CAD engineering graphics to Ghafari’s CAD Standards
· Create and plot drawings from sketches and/or mark-ups of existing drawings
· Produce CAD drawings and/or engineering mark-ups under the direction of an upper level engineer
2. Provide direction, feedback, and coaching on relevant project issues to CAD operators, CAD leaders, designers, senior designers, and engineers
3. Perform field checking
· Measure, sketch, and verify existing conditions of equipment, building, etc.
· Retrieve plant reference drawings
· Perform field data gathering
4. Suggest design improvements to engineering
5. Attend and/or participate in Project Meetings, Job Review Meetings, and Bid Meetings as requested
6. Manage the project assignment given to him/her (i.e., budget, schedule scope, scope changes, etc.)
7. Perform engineering calculations including sizing/selection of: pump, fan, liquid filters, air filters, ductwork, piping, burners, air flow, valves, dampers, and diffusers.
8. Participate in sales activities by adding technical expertise
9. Fulfill corporate administrative requirements (e.g., timesheets, e-mail, expense reports, company meetings, ad hoc meetings, etc.)
10. Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Education:
Associates Degree in engineering field or equivalent, plus 4 years on-the-job experience OR 6 years on-the-job experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree in engineering field and 2 years on-the-job experience.
Experience:
Basic Drafting Skills, effectively utilize AutoCAD software, knowledge of basic math, Algebra, and Trigonometry, and the ability to create Microsoft Excel spreadsheets with formatting, simple calculations, and sorting.
Training: Microsoft training with emphasis on Excel and Access
