Including: Managing Incidents and Problems, Performance Report Support, and Predictive and Proactive Monitoring and Tuning.Performance Analysts provide performance and capacity planning expertise for the WebSphere WAS runtime and UNIX platform. These analysts provide expertise regarding WAS runtime monitoring, UNIX operating system, data design and collection, analysis and reporting with an overall objective of reporting application response time and resource usage. Other objectives include identifying any application anomalies, operating system anomalies, and cost effective resource sizing. In addition, these analysts are responsible for establishing and maintaining processes for performance and capacity planning as it pertains to their platform and the Infrastructure Impact Analysis (IIA) process, performance problem resolution for WebSphere and UNIX applications and capacity planning for UNIX servers.REQUIRED:1. Minimum three years experience working with Websphere . Experience needs to be recent.2. Working knowledge of Websphere Application Service, Process Service, and Enterprise Service Bus.The primary tasks include:1. Apply knowledge of the various hardware components associated with UNIX (AIX HP-UX).2. Apply knowledge of UNIX (AIX HP-UX) or Linux operating system.3. Apply knowledge of Capacity Planning, WebSphere Performance, and UNIX (AIX HP-UX) Performance.4. Apply knowledge of CA’s Wily Introscope tool as well as BMC Performance Manager.5. Participate in Infrastructure Impact Assessment process.6. Analyze and report on WebSphere or UNIX performance data.7. Participate in performance testing of WebSphere applications (both new and modifications to existing ones) to determine if they meet the performance requirement of the end user.8. Participate in performance testing of applications that have been deployed to the UNIX (AIX or HP-UX) platform.9. Predict the impact of tuning alternatives.10. Assist with establishing performance requirements.11. Assist in development of performance test plans.12. Setup collection tools to gather performance measurements.13. Analyze systems for system level performance tuning and load balancing opportunities.14. Provide decision support information to projects.15. Attend project meetings and provide testing status to projects.16. Participate in performance walkthroughs and reviews.17. Help project teams understand performance concepts and performance testing. 18. Experience in JAVA development is useful when troubleshooting problems.CIBER, Inc.
