Pharmacy Host Administrator

Retail pharmacy operation seeks an experienced Host Administrator for their pharmacy operations division.  Candidate must have good working knowledge of PDX, EPS or similar pharmacy system and its applications to multiple locations.  Unix/Linux experience required.  Candidate will be responsible for the following...

    Update the system as soon as a new version of OS and application software comes out: AIX, SCO, LINUX, Windows; PDX, EPS, E-prescribe, EHR

    Keep backup failures daily and follow up with stores to ensure backup is working at al times

    Quickly arrange repair of hardware in case of server failure

    Add/maintain/remove/systems-applications users

    Daily price updates, daily sales upload to host from stores

    Weekly NHIN A/R reporting application

    Monthly clinical updates, monthly intercon soft font updates, monthly barcode updates, monthly image updates, monthly allergy updates

    Implement the policies for the use of the computer system and network

    Set up security policies for users

    Catalina Update Maintenance and log Pulling

    NHIN Drug DC Change Report, pack size change report, drug schedule change report, drug reissued report.

    Elixir report writing (Javascript, SQL)

    DAT Host Report Writing

    Pharmacy procedures documentation and Memos

    Vial label modifications

    Schedule and log preventative maintenance for printers and document scanners

    Coordinate Systems Changes and remodels (electricity/network run)

    Maintain ports and IP access on Host and Stores Servers, rotating after hours support, keep logs of all pending issues, follow up and resolve

    Oversee all major projects

 

Requirements:  Good pharmacy systems knowledge and repoting and remedial action to correct problems within the system.  Prior host administrator experience helpful.  Veryfiable work experience, ability to travel within the Miami-Dade and Broward area.  Flexible with schedules as required to cover needs of the operation.  Team player and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
