View all Sungard Availability Services jobs Practice Area Consultant / PC4725 Position Description:Alternate Location: Rosemont, ILTravel: Min-50% / Max-65%Consultant delivers high quality Information Availability consulting services to internal/external clients, as part of an Engagement Team. The Engagement Team, led by an Engagement Manager, designs and implements client centric information availability solutions that resolve prevailing industry and client business issues. Maintain practice and project related information (time, forecasts, work products, methodologies, etc.) in appropriate repositories. The Information Availability consulting will include Business Impact Analysis, Risk Analysis, Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery Planning, and Testing and Validation for all business practices and Information Technology Resources across a Corporate Enterprise. Under the direction of the Practice Area Manager, deliver support to the practice for information availability in the area’s concentration of services. Contribute to the success of the practice area through; personal billable utilization, service delivery compliance, and contribution to the practice area knowledgebase. Participate as assigned in sales support activities, creating presentations, and contribute to product development efforts. Perform engagement duties consistent with the Practice Area’s directives on how to use SunGard’s proprietary delivery methodology to best satisfy client needs. Maintain and document all activities performed during engagements and record project artifacts according to SunGard standards and operating procedures. Project Delivery • Perform all consulting with the highest degree of professional conduct • Adhere to formal service methodologies for deliverables and overall project execution • Ensure your assigned project tasks are completed on time and within budget • Use Changepoint to input billable time, status tasks and forecasting project activities Deployability & Professional Development • Meet billable utilization target of 75% • Maintain accurate personal calendar and forecasts on a timely basis • Maintain professional certifications in information availability (i.e. CBCP, MBCI, MCSC, CISSP, etc.) • Coordinate with supervisor on developing and executing individual training plan Quality & Customer Satisfaction • Meet or exceed client expectations (as noted by zero client complaints, client feedback and formal Customer Satisfaction surveys) • Ensure compliance with internal quality control processes before providing client with deliverables • Demonstrate reliability and responsiveness to client and/or engagement management requests Qualifications:• BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • Certification in Information Availability (such as CBCP, MBCI, CISSP or SANS GIAC Level-Two) preferred • College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalentBusiness Requirements: • 2-4 years professional experience • 2 years experience in information availability, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery • 2 years direct consulting experience, preferred • Prior work experience in a regulated environment (a plus) Technology Skills: • General technical knowledge and/or expertise in multiple areas of information systems technology (e.g. operating systems, networking software, databases, client/services computing, LAN, PC’s, etc.) • Strong understanding of advanced computer system and information availability issues • General knowledge of information availability principles and best practices, information systems concepts, incident response, and recovery • Experience in information technology tactical planning, information availability procedures development and administration, availability architecture design and technology assessment SUNGARD IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER, M/F/D/V
