In the newly created role of Practice Director, IT Forensics You will be asked to help build a team to address the increasing market challenges of the intelligence community. Due to the complex nature of our work, this position demands you have the business acumen of a technology venture capitalist with the leadership skills of an entrepreneur. You will report directly to the Vice President of Professional Services and have the opportunity to build your own team.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Leading / Managing the IT Forensics practice for the immixGroup Solutions business.
Includes:
· Strategic planning – Ability to create, execute, and manage the business plan to build the practice from ground zero, leverage existing infrastructure where possible, identify investments necessary for business success (to include business justifications and value-add), and integrate within established corporate and immixSolutions processes / polices.
· Business development / market analysis – Extensive experience leading large business development / sales efforts, presenting to highest levels of customer management. Background in market analysis to integrate into business plan, strategically identify and pursue opportunities, and leverage existing network to create joint opportunity ventures where and when necessary. Proposal management and writing, as well as capture management.
· P&L responsibilities – Experience in managing a profit-generating organization, creating accurate revenue and pipeline forecasts, tracking performance metrics (utilization, ADR, bookings, backlog, etc.), mitigating / correcting areas of poor performance, and timely status reporting to management.
· Personnel management – Background in building and managing a consulting organization to include mentoring, performance reviews, project and corporate tasking, training plans, required reviews and approvals (timesheets, expense reports, etc.), and staffing.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Deep and broad knowledge of the IT / Computer Forensics industry, considered a “thought leader” in the market. Extensive experience as an investigative forensics consultant, with the knowledge to not only lead forensics projects, but manage other project leads.
Proven history of growth in responsibilities in building consulting businesses. Past leadership positions at both large and small companies preferred.
Strong sales / business development presence, sales process oriented with ability and experience to identify opportunities, vet through the discovery process, create and execute opportunity-specific strategies, and solid history of “closing the deal.” High-end communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience in talking with C-Level customer management as well as line-level personnel. Personal / professional networks (partners, opportunities, consultants, etc.) to enhance sales efforts. Long history of capture / proposal management, proposal writing, etc.
Will report to and work closely with the immixGroup Solutions VP, delivering regular status reports, assisting in planning and implementing corporate / practice strategies, participating in pipeline and forecast management initiatives,
SPECIFIC TECHNICAL SKILLS:
In depth knowledge of the industry leaders in forensics software packages, including such companies as Guidance and Access Data.
Experience in designing, building, and managing a computer forensics lab.
Proficient in MS Office software suite, MS Project, MS CRM, and Great Plains
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
7-10 years in the IT Forensics industry, 5-7 years P&L management, 5 years personnel management, 5-7 years business development
EDUCATION:
BS in Computer Science or related field, MBA preferred
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Top Secret clearance
