Today, CA, formerly known as Computer Associates, serves the majority of the Fortune 1000 companies, as well as government organizations, educational institutions and thousands of other companies in diverse industries worldwide.Job Responsibilities:* Perform installations, upgrades, migrations, and patches of the Clarity software * Build and maintain server farms for report development group, customer hosting, Niku University, and Niku Professional Services * Maintain a schedule of which systems are used for which functions and for how long * Troubleshoot technical issues with servers * Optimize server distribution, allocation, and performance based on customer priorities * Technical configuration; data loading, extraction, and transformation using a variety of tools / methods; interface development between Clarity and a variety of other applications; definition of custom defined fields and tables in the Clarity database; portlet development; and stored procedures against the Clarity database and report development Required Qualifications:* 7+ years experience in IT, performing related work * Strong knowledge of operating systems - Windows NT / 2000, Sun Solaris 8, and HP-UX 11 * Ability to perform software installations on all three platforms * Ability to create / modify batch files and shell scripts * Knowledge of general networking and security procedures * Strong knowledge of databases - Oracle 8.1.7.4 or Oracle 9.2.02, MSSQL Server 2000 * Ability to backup and restore MSSQL databases * Ability to import and export Oracle databases * Ability to create and modify database settings * Ability to write stored procedures * Strong SQL skills * Experience with PERL, HTML, and XML * Strong knowledge of VM Ware * Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills * Ability to work in a high stress environment * Ability to work independently and in teams Preferred Qualifications:* Experience with Clarity configuration for definition of custom defined fields and tables in the Clarity database; portlet development; and stored procedures against the Clarity database * Actuate experience * Bachelor's Degree in related fieldThere's never been a better time to join CA.
