Print Graphics Designer

Position Title:  Print Graphics Designer Location:  Duluth, Georgia Requisition:  128941 NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) is a global technology company leading the way business interacts with customers.  NCR’s assisted-and self service solutions and comprehensive support services address the needs of retail, financial, travel, healthcare, hospitality, gaming and public sectors organization in more than 100 countries.  NCR (www.ncr.com) is headquartered in Dayton, Ohio.  Position Summary: The Print Graphics designer is responsible for the creation of graphic production for collateral, direct mail, display/event and advertising projects and the coordination and management of local photography sessions.  The Designer maintains and manages archived photography and project files. Key Responsibilities: • Design print advertisements to specifications and manage production with external vendors and publications.• Design print collateral, including but not limited to fact and data sheets, success stories, brochures and white papers.• Design newsletter templates and manage layout of frequent and recurring content.• Design and manage production of signage for internal and external events and tradeshows.• Produce and update templates for collateral, adhering to branding specifications and graphics guidelines.• Review and approve translated layouts of advertorials, data sheets, and brochures from vendor, managing necessary revisions.• Maintain the image libraries and provide ongoing support to online tool content manager.• Manage proofing and print production process.• Interface regularly with various internal associates to evaluate project needs.• Provide web graphics support for Online Content and Multimedia Managers.• Utilize and maintain reporting tools to track type and number of projects on a monthly and yearly basis.• Maintain and manage archive of graphic files and projects.• Develop, implement and manage special projects and/or events in support of corporate priorities.• Maintain consistency and NCR design elements throughout marketing collateral.• Create and manage distribution of global collateral catalogues.• Coordinate and manage local photography sessions and review final photography for online image library.• Perform digital photo altering and enhancement for proposal, PR, or presentation needs.• Ensure quick turnaround on images as new products are available.  Skills and Attributes: • Ability to work confidently with external agencies and vendors.• Outstanding project management, organizational, and analytical and problem-solving skills.  Must be detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to work effectively across organizational and functional lines.• Must be both an independent worker capable of taking ownership of projects and meeting tight deadlines with minimal supervision, and a team player willing to compromise and take direction.• Must be able to provide portfolio of work (in PDF, URL, etc. format) upon request. Basic Requirements: • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, OR at least 5 years of print design experience. • A minimum of one year demonstrated experience with Macintosh-based graphic design is required. • Solid skills in Microsoft PC applications, QuarkXpress, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop.• Solid knowledge of graphic design processes/procedures such as:  four-color printing process, pre-flighting, collecting and archiving files.• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: • A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.• Strong preference for at least 3 years graphics design experience.  • Familiarity with HTML, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash and Acrobat. • Good writing skills would be a plus, though not a requirement.• Local candidate preferred.  *Our total compensation approach includes a competitive base salary, strong work/family programs, 401k program and medical, dental and disability coverage.
