Your primary role is to design and develop innovative IT solutions to real market problems. You will work closely with product and marketing managers, network, security, application, systems, and storage engineers to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones. This position reports in to Product Development.• Partner with Product Strategy to complete business cases for strategic concepts that will become products and services• Analyze business and market needs provided by Product Strategy and translate them into clear, actionable service requirements• Integrate internally developed processes and intellectual capital with external offerings resulting in a cohesive service experience • Provide subject matter expertise within multi-discipline IT service development teams• Translate internal and external feedback and field research findings into product and service design improvements • Work with Product Management to improve and refine cross-discipline product consistency and interaction• Succinctly communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale at all levels within the organization• Approximately 25% Travel RequiredQualifications:• College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent• At least 5+ years experience leading large design efforts and coordinating cross-functional project teams of 4 or more members • 5 to 10 years experience in product development and lifecycle maintenance, sales support, or technical services role• Familiarity with field and lab-based usability research methodologies • Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus across organizational boundaries• Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment • Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems • Strong track record in hosting, data center outsourcing, Virtualization platforms such as VMware, Microsoft Virtual Server or similar technical industry • Experience in web services and application infrastructure design (n-tier, MCSE, MCSD)• Experience in system (Microsoft and / or UNIX), tape backup, and storage administration• Knowledge of WAN / LAN architectures, systems & protocols.• High-level technical knowledge and experience with enterprise monitoring and management products and architecture • Strong technical knowledge and experience with systems and application security practices• Verbal & written communications skills that meet the SunGard Corporate standard including customer service• Ability to effectively work in a team environment as well as independentlySUNGARD IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER, M/F/D/V
