Sales/Retail/Business Development Email this job to a friend View all Sungard Availability Services jobs Production Data Manager / SS4807 Position Description:Additional Locations Include: Wayne, PA This position provides inventory support to internal SunGard teams to ensure platform technology in North America Recovery centers are accurately depicted and available in inventory and Sales contract systems, as well as other systems that utilize platform-related information. This position is responsible for ongoing management and maintenance of platform inventory data and relationships, ensuring inventory data items align with Platform Management technology views.• Provide platform inventory expertise to troubleshoot and resolve platform-related data inquiries and issues. Maintain inventory data within all established standards and guidelines.• Evaluate and resolve platform-related data inquiries and issues for technology associated with the platform inventory and Sales contract systems.• Manage and maintain platform inventory data and relationships based on associated Platform Integration Manager’s data requirements and guidelines.• Work closely with all inventory-related teams to ensure platform data changes do not impact other systems and applications that utilize same data.• Perform inventory data updates and additions according to system standards and procedures, deferring those that must be completed via ITR.• Assist IT Inventory team and IT Help Desk to evaluate and troubleshoot platform inventory-related issues whenever necessary.• Manage inventory data change requests from Platform Management and other internal teams to ensure platform technology and resources are represented accurately in all inventory-related systems.• Work closely with Platform Integration Managers to communicate inventory data changes needed for their platform(s) and to gather new add/change requests they may have for inventory items.• Manage and monitor inventory change requests submitted to ensure timely handling and turnaround.• Verify platform inventory change requests have been completed accurately and communicate status to internal teams, where appropriate.• Provide Platform Management team with timely, consistent status reports summarizing all outstanding platform inventory change requests.• Participate in platform inventory review meetings with Asset Management team and World Wide Scheduling team to discuss and resolve platform inventory issues affecting the scheduling system• Promote awareness and understanding of how platform inventory technology is represented in the system and how it can be accessed via query or report options.• Manage inventory reporting capabilities for Platform Management team, i.e. Discoverer reports, Excel spreadsheets, online views, etc., to ensure Platform Integration Managers can access capabilities to view and understand how their platform technology is represented in inventory system. • Conduct on-going informational sessions for Platform Management team to promote and maintain general inventory-related query skill set.• Develop and maintain inventory-related, data reference documentation for use on the internal platform support portal.• Update inventory system for newly installed or recently received platform hardware, upon appropriate notification. • Excellent attention to quality and accuracy of detailed data work• Excellent Project Management skills with the ability to prioritize, track and follow-up on multiple requests• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills• Demonstrates strong sense of customer service and ability to effectively liaison between internal teams to resolve issuesQualifications:• College Degree preferred (Business and Technology related preferred) but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.• Min of 3 years experience in technical services or data support role• Strong technical understanding of the IBM Mainframe hardware platforms and associated operating systems preferred• Technical understanding of the Unisys and or HP Tandem hardware platforms and associated operating systems.• Understanding of current information technologies• Understanding of general database concepts and relationships• Preferred Experience/Skills/Knowledge:• Prior hands-on experience maintaining data associated with Oracle Inventory via Oracle Forms-based applications• Experience with using Oracle Discoverer for ad-hoc data queries and viewsSUNGARD IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER, M/F/D/V
