Production Infrastructure Engineer Who You Are
You have 3+ years of IT experience designing, implementing, and supporting, infrastructure for redundant networks, high availability systems, and enterprise security solutions. You have created infrastructure solutions for all phases of a custom software systems development life cycle (SDLC). You have a four-year college degree or equivalent work experience with Cisco and Microsoft certifications. You assume the lead role in creating and improving technical solutions for the established business needs of the company. You have excellent verbal, written, and diagram communication skills. You are articulate in communicating concepts, and have the ability to communicate complex technology solutions to non-technical audiences when necessary. You place a premium on customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
In support of Communispace’s production infrastructure, you will:Provide on-going support of the existing production infrastructure. You will ensure all facets of the production infrastructure are available and healthy on a day-to-day basis. You will respond to alerts and take corrective action to ensure high-availability of our production environments. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining controlled repeatable QA environments and procedures.You will be responsible for measuring and ensuring on-going performance metrics are maintained for our production application.You will be responsible for supporting all security based solutions such as: firewalls, intruder detection and response, and vulnerability testingYou be part of a team the implements new technology solutions that support the on-going business needs.You will work with the Manager of Production Infrastructure & Services on planning, and scheduling of assigned production infrastructure projects and initiatives.
Desired SkillsWindows 2003 server, IIS, XP, and .NET JavaScript, HTML, XML, ASP, ASPX, Visual Studio, DCOM, .NETMicrosoft SQL database administration and tuning, SQL Server Reporting ServicesMicrosoft SharePoint (MOSS)Experience with F5 BigIP.Extensive experience with Microsoft performance counters and system tuningExtensive experience with TCP/IP Networking.Experience with VPNExperience with Cisco hardware IOS and PIX.Experience with IDS / IPS solutionsExperience with vulnerability testing.Experience with Verisign SSL Certificates - ordering, managing, installing and maintainingExperience with SMTP protocolExperience with RadView products, including WebLOAD and FTExperience and demonstrated understanding of best practices approaches to maintaining full-time, high availability, on-line web servers and back end database serversExperience working with external hardware and software vendors and obtaining service and support
