Programmer/Administrator

Growing transportation company needs Programmer/Administrator. This position will play a key role in administration and maintenance of server side hardware and software. Will be responsible for infrastructure design/implementation and capacity planning. The position will be required to support the development team with application-server, database and version control needs.

Required skills:
1. In-depth knowledge & experience in Mysql database server
2. Experience in Unix/Mac operating systems, shell scripting etc.
4. Maintenance and administration of RAID based storage systems
5. Experience in Apache tomcat application and web servers
6. Experience in applying patches, hot-fixes and upgrades to operating systems & application software.
7. Experience in supporting production servers from hardware and software perspective


Preferred skills:
1. Windows server administration
2. Programming in java
3. Experience with administering Subversion or other source control repository
4. Experience as project lead and working in a team based environment.
5. Network devices administration - routers, firewall etc.

Other:
1. Must be a team player and be able to work independently as well
2. Good verbal and written communication skills
