Programming Analyst

Seeking a dynamic goal driven team player looking for an opportunity to join a company who is a leader in its industry and who wants to train and invest in you.  Must be a loyal career-minded individual with the ability to demonstrate strong technical aptitude and the ability to communicate effectively with both the technical and business entities.  The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of programming experience in Visual Basic, CRM , and have an interest in being trained to support SalesLogix.  Experience with C# and Crystal Reports is a strong plus.

General Summary:

Using current programming languages and technologies, prepares specifications, writes code based on best practices, and performs testing and debugging of these applications. Interacts with business users to define system requirements and/or to recommend necessary modifications. Defines and documents functional requirements for streamlining future processes, conducting data flow analysis and preparing operations and procedure manuals. Completes documentation and/or procedures for software configuration, integration, deployment and maintenance. Reviews documents and existing procedures and recommends where automation or processes can be implemented.

Major Responsibilities:

• Modifies and maintains database (table, index, attribute) and application specifications.
• Develops, debugs and supports applications as required.
• Assists in the design and development of user interface (windows, screens, reports) and business application prototypes.
• Documents and communicates application design, logic and structure.
• Evaluates, installs and supports application systems based on business needs.
• Performs unit testing, develops test scripts/scenarios, and participates in integrated testing / quality assurance in a client server environment.
• Applies sound judgment and discretion in recommending, coordinating, developing and implementing technical systems and/or solutions for the enterprise.
• Performs additional duties as required.
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-4 years programming experience using VBScript.
• Experience with CRM, database marketing and financial applications required.
• SalesLogix and web-based experience preferred.
• Experience with C#, SQL and Crystal Reports a plus.
• Excellent systems process development. Some Project Management experience desired.
• Strong documentation skills to record and maintain systems and program designs.
• Experience effectively working in a cross functional environment interacting with sales, marketing and accounting departments. Ability to build relationships with internal customers.
• Reasoning ability and other skills: Requires above-average reasoning ability, intuitiveness and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as to function productively in a collaborative team environment.
