Position Description
The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Los Angeles Field Division (LAFD) has a requirement for translation, transcription and monitoring services.
The Project Manager will work with internal and external clients to manage the timely flow of DEA LAFD business project actions from initiation to delivery, ensuring that projects meet quality, efficiency, and budget expectations. The Project Manager will oversee and grow all Lionbridge Federal business within the DEA. The Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Civil Business for the Lionbridge Federal Unit.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the contractor’s on-site performance and ensure delivery of all contract services encompassed by the contract. Full authority to act for the contractor in all day-to-day matters relating to contractor performance including planning-scheduling, monitoring and controlling all work performed by the contractor. Responsible for reviewing tasking requirements and defining resources to provide the desired services. Coordinate technical and resources matters with cognizant government officials and be responsible for providing non-personnel services to the government in a most cost effective manner. Plan and monitor projects to meet deadline, quality, and budget requirements. Serve as primary day-to-day contact for external clients. Oversees and develops work statements, scope/priority definitions and the creation of budgets and schedules for large programs. Performs ongoing review of program status; identifies risks. Documents program process including implementation, timeliness, issues, risks, and successes to maintain program course. Creates contingency plans and deploys risk mitigation as appropriate. Provide support and input to Sales and external clients, including education about the localization/linguist processes.Plan sufficient resource availability and ensure that all relevant information and materials are available to production, as required.Ensure that the processes, objectives, and expectations of the Client are clear to all parties involved. This includes information on the scope of the project, components, procedures, and instructions. Monitor project financials. Prepares and recommends operating and personnel budgets for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget and recommends variances as necessary. Resolve questions and issues in a timely and effective manner for clients and internal teams. Gathers feedback from clients on program results; analyses feedback and incorporates lessons learned for the future. Ensure final deliverables meet acceptance criteria for quality.
Required Skills/Background
Minimum of three years of experience in translation of languages Must be fluent in Spanish Minimum of three years directly related and appropriate to manage the Contractor’s workforce Proven experience with planning, budgeting, staffing, organization, managerial and technical performance. Drug Enforcement Agency experience strongly preferred. Minimum 3 years of project management or account management experience. Strong customer service, negotiation, problem-solving, interpersonal leadership, and organizational skills. Excellent Computer SkillsExtraordinary written and oral communication. Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment. US Citizenship Required. Must be eligible for a security clearance, possession a plus.
Education/Certification RequiredBS or BA with major area of study foreign language from an English-speaking college or university (or equivalent work experience)
