Project Manager - OSS CGI Federal is looking for a Project Manager to join the Public Sector Healthcare team in our Baltimore, MD office. The Public Sector Healthcare practice of CGI Federal is building a national system targeted for use by healthcare providers, federal and state government staff under contract to a federal agency. As a new national system, the strategic value is significant to the customer, CGI and to the team members. This initiative consolidates several duplicative business processes. The national system and its supporting initiatives are planned to redefine and streamline business processes, modernize the technical footprint and provide a significant return on invested dollars related to the administration of federal run Medicare and state run Medicaid programs.The Project Manager will lead a healthcare IT project by providing hands-on leadership & direction to the team as well as managing client expectations. The individual must have experience leading, directing and managing project and team. The successful candidate will have 8+ years experience in a role working with the functional aspects of computer information systems. This project will involve the various phases of system development lifecycle that includes requirements gathering, design and documentation, test plans, user documentation, and training. The role requires direct client interaction.Essential Skills: PMP certification preferred.Experience leading and managing system development teams in a Federal client-facing environment.Previous experience gathering system requirements, creating system design specifications, defining system test cases, and change management.Ability to work collaboratively as well as independentlyAbility to communicate effectively – both oral and writtenFlexible work hours, capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines and flexible to client and CGI office locations, including Fairfax, VA.Non-Essential Skills: Experience in transactional Web site system development Experience working with or knowledge of the healthcare industry.
