Project Manager - Workforce Management System

Techno-Functional Senior Project Manager with ERP System Implementation experienceThis project manager will be primarily responsible for coordinating and managing the implementation of a WorkForce Management system. In addition, the qualified candidate will be responsible for managing technical aspects of other systems in the Supply Chain and Workforce solutions portfolio. These include Retek (Item-Price Management) and Kronos (Time & Attendance management). Duties for this position include interaction with business partners and other technology groups, management of day-to-day maintenance and support tasks for systems and execution of assigned projects. The qualified candidate's minimum capabilities include experience with software development methodology, COTS packages implementation, managing project timelines, internal and external resource assignments, and tracking project schedules. In addition, the candidate should have working knowledge of project management methodologies.Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage the analysis and design of applications specific to retail operations Collaborate with business partners and other technology groups for analysis, planning, and maintenance required to support business needs Project management duties include, but are not limited to:Analysis of business requirements and translation into project plans, activities, tasks and deliverablesResource and project schedule tracking and reportingIdentification and day-to-day management of issuesCross-team communications and reportingMaintenance, and communication of project timelinesExecute and coordinate release of software, new builds and functionality with engineering, QA and other technology development teams as defined by the managers.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, CIS, MIS, or CS. 3-6 years of project management experience with implementation of COTS packages Prior experience with implementing and maintaining packaged systems Prior experience with WorkForce management systems (Kronos WorkForce, Workbrain, Bluecube) in a development and/or project management capacity Experience with Retek RMS, Kronos TimeKeeper or similar systems is a plus Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle process Experience with systems integration of COTS packages and custom built applications Understanding of the labor management practices in the retail industry - time and attendance management, labor scheduling and labor forecasting/budgeting Software packages evaluation and custom software development experience preferred Familiarity with retail POS systems preferred Familiarity with technologies such as WebMethods, BEA WebLogic, JBOSS preferred Strong analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communications skills Ability to manage multiple projects and maintenance tasks concurrently
