Description:

3H Technology has an immediate opportunity in our Reston, Virginia location for a Project Manager. This position will oversee and coordinate the operations aspects of a large government contract.

Job Description:

- Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives

- Develops mechanisms and action plans for monitoring progress, quality control, intervention, and problem solving

- Integrates all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet customer requirements and expectations

- Directs personnel, manages cost and schedules, ensures contract compliance, and serves as the primary customer interface

- Monitors projects to ensure scope of work, schedule, and budgets are well defined and maintained

- Identifies variables in determining contract complexity include technology used, schedule requirement, cost, contract complexity, risk, number and complexity of subcontractors, and customer complexity

- Serves as primary client contact for managing multiple task and project assignments

- Possesses outstanding leadership and technical capabilities, as well as experience in government contracting

- Effectively coordinates project teams

- Estimates fees, determines scopes-of-work, leads and prepares proposals and contracts on large or multiple projects

- Actively manages client's budgets, schedules and programs, and proactively initiates project communications and documentation

The ideal Project Manager candidate shall be a US citizen and:

- Be cleared or clearable

- Have had experience at a manager level or higher in consulting services

- Directly responsible for contract and financial management of projects> 1M in size

- Have had responsibility for Profit and Loss of a business unit or area> 2M

- Familiar with government contracting and procurement process

- Possess detailed knowledge of large scale projects for defense organizations, government agencies, and contractors. Fully understand project objectives, deliverables, expectations, and constraints

- Have organization management experience in project management or program management

- Have 10 or more years of experience with the interpretation and application of current federal government systems complex IT solution contracts

- Be capable of interfacing with multiple parts of client organizations

- Have a history of securing and performing profitable work

- Have excellent oral and written communications skills

- Be adept at using multi-faceted business software applications to include the entire MS Office suite of products and Rational software

- Have superior planning, organization, analytical, and decision-making skills

- Possess excellent communication, relationship management, team building, negotiation and leadership skills

- Have experience managing the project scope, budget, schedule, and profitability

- Have experience in Earned Value Management concepts, methodologies, and systems. Have used and monitored project progress via EVMS tools and practices.

- Have the ability to maintain existing contracting work as well as identify and pursue opportunities to grow the business

- Understand, explain, and utilize appropriate standards and methodologies. CMMI experience is bonus.

- Experience in applying system development lifecycle principles and methodologies

- Ability to adapt and thrive in medium size company environment

- Ability to quickly pick up and learn software tools

- Some local travel to DC is required.
