Digicon Corporation, established in 1985, is a full-service Information Technology Integrator and Provider servicing Network Engineering and Software Development to both government and commercial customers. Digicon employs approximately 300 employees throughout the Washington metropolitan area, as well as several other major cities across the nation.

 

We are currently in search for a Proposal Manager to work with our Proposal Development Group in our Herndon, VA Headquarters office.

 

Position Description:

Provides proposal management, writing, editing, compliance, issue resolution, coordination, and analysis efforts in response to requests for proposals and information. Coordinates with business development to understand business plans. Conducts strategy sessions to develop win strategies and themes, identify and assess competitors, and develop client hot buttons. Performs detailed analyses of requirements documents (RFP, RFQ, SOW, etc.). Prepares supporting proposal development documentation (i.e., outline, team assignments, proposal management plan, schedule, kick-off meeting materials, writing plans, etc.). Establishes and maintains communications among local and remote employees and teammates using collaborative tools. Writes assigned sections of the proposal and submits all assigned sections on time. Develops and may execute proposal graphics. Performs substantive reviews of both text and graphics, ensures the assigned writing sections comply with RFP requirements, contain win strategies and win themes, and comply with standard format and style criteria. Assists in developing corporate boilerplate and maintaining the boilerplate library. Coordinates with the project and pricing staff to ensure that all of the information needed to prepare the Cost Proposal is available and input is received on time. Coordinates and obtains signoff on the technical proposal by senior managers. Attends win/loss debriefings and assists in developing lessons learned.

 

Position Requirements:Minimum 7 years relevant proposal and business development experience. Demonstrated superior communications, writing, editing, and proofing skills. Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio (MS Office). Able to collaborate and work effectively as a team leader. Willing to work evenings or on weekends on occasion to meet proposal deadlines. Dynamic interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management. Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, completing multiple complex tasks simultaneously.Bachelor’s DegreeShipley or similar training, Bachelor’s Degree in English desired.
