Proposal Manager

Job Description

The Proposal Manager will direct and participate in all aspects of the sales proposal development process, and will be responsible for framing proposal architecture and messaging, and overseeing the execution and development of final proposals. Proposals may include responses to RFPs, unsolicited proposals, or other formal internal or external documents.  The Proposal Manager will organize, develop, and improve the sales proposal development process and produce deliverables of high quality, within budget, and on-time. The Proposal Manger is also responsible for proposal portfolio management consisting of budgets (development, tracking, and management), resource management, results tracking and analysis, and timeframes.  Development of web-based document sharing, standardization and categorization of proposal content, revision and change control are important elements of this position.  To accomplish these results, Proposal Manager will need to work collaboratively with various functional areas within NaviMedix including sales, development, customer support, marketing, and finance. Proposal Manager will also participate in proposal strategy sessions contributing critical thinking and thought-leadership.

Job Requirements

The Proposal Manager should have demonstrated sales and marketing orientation as well as excellent customer service skills, be experienced in writing and editing technical materials, be able to work independently and as part of a team, trouble-shoot creatively and have excellent organizational and written and oral communication skills.

Required:

• Superior writing and editing skills
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Knowledge of document publishing techniques and applications
• Demonstrated cross-departmental team skills
• Experience in budget and project management
• Excellent organizational skills with experience in web-based document management, sharing and collaboration
• 7+ years experience in proposal development and technical writing related to information technology

Desirable: 

• Healthcare related experience
• BA/BS desirable
