Public Service - SAP ABAP Generalist

Description Organization:  Public Service Location: Greater Kansas City Area  Accenture’s Services workforce is a dedicated team of people who work on outsourcing engagements. These are long-term partnerships with clients for whom we manage and provide increasingly specialized business operations, such as finance and accounting, IT, applications development and maintenance, help desk services, and HR.  We not only maintain key business functions for clients, we constantly seek to improve them to help our clients move ahead of the competition. Most of our people in Services are based long-term at a client location, an Accenture Delivery Center or, in some cases, an Accenture office. People within the Client Operations workgroup are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. Client Operations is where the majority of Services people reside and, typically, people in the workgroup are based permanently at a client location.  This Federal client has requested that Accenture replace the aging system it currently has in place for managing its yearly national and international delivery of over $2 billion worth of commodities with a new SAP implementation. This position is responsible for working on and owning the development and testing of custom RICEFW (Reports Interfaces Conversions Extensions Forms Workflows) development objects.  Key responsibilities may include:  Develop Detailed Technical Designs for RICEFW development objects Build Interface development components Develop and execute assembly test of RICEFW development components Perform quality review of documentation of other Accenture ABAP resources Assist testing of RICEFW development objects (unit and assembly) Fix SIRs during System and User Acceptance Tests Travel requirement 5%  (4 days every 3 months) Flexible work arrangements considered Qualifications Basic Qualifications:  Bachelors Degree 7 years of SAP RICEFW implementation experience including ABAP, BAPI and BADI 3 years client facing and facilitation experience Preferred Skills  Experience working with Federal Government agencies Experience with BDC (Batch Data Communication) Experience with LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) Experience with SAP Business Server Pages (BSP) Experience with SAP NetWeaver and XI Experience with creation of Custom Function Modules as well as utilization of standard Function Modules in programs Experience with creation of elements in Data Dictionary (fields, tables, etc.) Experience of Authorization Objects Experience with ALE (Application Link Enabling) transactions Use of SAPscript and Smartforms Experience with Adobe Interactive Forms Experience with FLEX GL Professional Skill Requirements  Ability to work independently with minimal assistance and supervision Strong problem solving skills: able to logically break down a problem into smaller manageable parts Understanding of basic object-oriented concepts Understanding of use and re-use concepts Facilitation experience for conducting design and review sessions Understanding the limitations of SAP with respect to security, performance, customization, etc. Understanding of SAP's ABAP development language Understanding of SAP's data structures Our people are our most important asset and we invest considerable resources to provide on-going training that builds and extends professional, technical and management skills in all areas.
