QA Director/Manager NYC brand new role!!!

Our client,  a leading New York based online health company, is seeking a QA Director/Manager to establish and maintain all QA efforts for the team, as well as manage QA staff.

This person will work on our client’s world leading websites.

 Responsibilities:

 The Software QA Manager will develop and implement the software QA strategy, including processes, test plans, and test procedures necessary to validate the application. The candidate will develop and manage a team of Quality Assurance Analysts who operate collaboratively with the product team’s business analysts and developers to craft an application of quality. Prioritize testing efforts across the QA group to meet product and project schedules. Design and implement a testing matrix to help the application management team prioritize and track testing progress. Lead, direct and evaluate the work of team members.

Required skills :A technical background and experience working with browser-based applications; programming or business system analyst experience on Java, SQL, mySQL applications preferred. Experience in manual and automated testing, from both an external customer perspective (black box testing) as well as the ability to understand the system architecture to assist in system stress-testing (gray box testing). Experience with a variety of testing tools and approaches, manual and automated regression testing. Ability to estimate, plan, and execute testing cycles. Experience directing and/or executing manual or automated testing for a complex browser-based application. Minimum of 5 years experience a Software QA Manager. Must have experience testing web based products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. BS in CS or equivalent work experience.
