Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Description· Collaborate with business analysts to understand and help clarify requirements and assess testability· Review and Walk-through High Level requirements, Detailed Requirements and design documents· Design High Level Test Cases or Scenarios that map back to High Level Requirements and Use Cases· Design Detailed Functional, Integration, and System Test Cases that map back to detailed requirements · Search for, collect, and organize test data referenced from test cases· Conduct Test Case Walkthroughs to achieve consensus on Test Case correctness & completeness· Execute and manage functional, integration, and system test cases· Record and manage defects· Assist BA by providing test cases for use at the User Acceptance Test Level· Assist in estimating task work efforts and time lines· Escalate potential issues to Test Lead· Provide input to go/no-go decisionQualifications·  Minimum of 4 years experience in the following:o Reviewing of business requirements and design documentation for completeness and testability o Creating test cases with or without business requirements and design documentso Executing and managing test caseso Entering and managing defects to completiono Data testing (testing of different file and data types)·  Basic understanding of n-tier web application architecture·  Basic understanding of database structures·  Experience with  DB management/connectivity tools such as Oracle Administrator, SQL Server Admin, Toad·  Experience writing SQL scripts to verify data in the database·  Strong analytical, trouble shooting and problem solving skills·  Flexible and able to work with multiple priorities and collaboratively with development and QA team·  Able to function in a fast paced project cycle by adapting  to ambiguous project objectives, changing software requirements, and reprioritized testing focus·  Strong verbal & written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with peers and non-technical personnel·  Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
