Quality Assurance Engineer

Role:   Ticketmaster in Chantilly VA builds software used by the largest venues, sports teams, and arts clients in the country to manage their season ticket sales.  We set the industry standard for the box office applications, and for consumer-facing web applications that serve thousands of customers.   We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.  We need individuals who work well as part of a team or independently, take ownership of problems, solve complex problems, and complete projects on time.  Our QA Engineers will understand “the big picture” – the integration of various Ticketmaster products. You will create plans to test a wide variety of products with a myriad of features.  You will identify, document, and communicate issues with software developers, support and operations staff, and product managers. Responsibilities:   *Approx 20% of your time: Assist in the preparation of a Test Plan for each software version.  We receive an average of 2 software versions each month.*Approx 40% of your time: Execute manual test cases *Approx 30% of your time: Use the defect tracking system (Bugzilla) to enter, confirm, validate and close bugs.*Other duties include participation in requirement reviews. Qualifications:  *Must have strong written and oral communication skills.  *Must have skills in Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)*Must have experience with web browsers, cookies, favorites, add-on tools, HTTP and HTTPS connections, deep links, etc.*Prefer experience with HTML, XML, JSON, and similar document formats.*Prefer experience with writing technical documentation*Prefer experience with Ticketmaster Advanced Product Suite products (Archtics, AccountManager, TeamExchange, MailManager, and ReportPro)*Prefer experience with SQL (write basic select/update/delete statements) Competitive compensation and benefits package offered.
