Quality Assurance Engineer: Our client has immediate openings for a contract Quality Assurance Engineer in the Phoenix area.

 

Responsibilities:

 Understand the requirements that software is expected to meet by way of function specifications and requirements documentation. Populate test data in the database as needed to reproduce issues and prepare for test runs. Design, implement, execute, and debug both manual test cases and automated test scripts, both of which contain a variety of testing techniques. Find bugs, defects, and regressions in our website and supporting applications. When investigating defects, create bug reports and communicate issues with development and other stakeholders. Verify fixes and report results of these verifications. Document defects and results of testing. Summarize and report on test results, status, and issues.

 

Requirements:  -Qualifications:
 5 or more years in a software testing or QA Engineer role.

 Four-year college MIS, CS, or related degree in an accredited university.
 Software testing work performed in both client-server and web-based environments (e.g. HTML, Java, PHP, XML, CRM applications, and .NET framework).
 Experience using Mercury / HP automated testing tools QuickTest Pro and LoadRunner.
 Experience in conducting tests using a variety of testing techniques.
 Experience using MS Office, MS Project, and Powerpoint to create QA-related documentation
 Strong analytical skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
 Understanding of both software development and software release processes.
 Must be a self-starter who is highly-organized, hands-on, and a team-player.
 Thorough understanding of test strategies, test plans, use cases, and test scripts.
 Experience in creating manual and automated test cases using a variety of testing methodologies.
 Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.

Nice-To-Haves:

 CSTE or related certification
 Experience with the RightNow CRM
 Experience with MySQL and Oracle
