Quality Engineer, Sr Manager  - Mission Assurance Manager  Job Code: GCSD04081057  This position is for a Mission Assurance Manager who will report to the Director, Quality Assurance.  Job Description: Establish and implement a Mission Assurance program that will comply with applicable customer contractual requirements. Support program mission assurance leaders with planning and executing mission assurance requirements using standard processes Planning and establishing program specific requirements with or without customer specifications for successful Mission Assurance efforts and tasks on both space and ground based programs containing electronic, electrical, optical, software, and mechanical subsystems Providing effective Mission Assurance functional oversight and direction at the division and program level Providing active participation in design, production/test readiness, and other reviews and audits with the ability to fully understand key Mission Assurance drivers and risks Taking a lead role in the identification, mitigation, and communication of Mission Assurance related risks to all levels of division leadership Scheduling, budgeting, and milestone monitoring as well as reviewing technical reports to assure Technical and contractual compliance  Qualifications: Needs experience in leadership of and participation in system level design development activities, failure investigations, Failure Review Boards, independent reviews and assessments, etc. Need experience in direct program Mission Assurance assignments with individual technical contributions Need experience in all key program life cycle phases from planning, conceptual through detailed design, fabrication, integration, test, delivery, and deployment. Must possess an understanding of the driving factors and benefits of implementing sound programs in Reliability, Parts and Material Processes, System Safety, Configuration Management, Hardware, Software, and Supplier Quality. Bachelor’s degree required. A degree in Engineering is strongly preferred, plus 12 or more years of directly applicable mission assurance related experience with continued growth in assignments.
