GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs black-box testing, creates/updates test scenarios and test cases, and reviews functional requirements. Also writes, implements, and reports status for system test cases for testing. Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Development of test procedures and cases based upon requirements Develops and executes automates test scripts based upon requirements.Confirms and reports defects Plans and implements testing strategies for different areas of our products Ensure interoperability with third party products, operating systems, and existing Aloha software Analyze product deficiencies and test results Maintain a good working relationship with Business Systems Analysts and Development Ensure our customer's needs are being meet per the functional specification Responsible for communicating testing considerations and general status Adherence to test standards and procedures Determines project risks factors and proposes possible solutions Helps drive and evolve existing Quality Engineering processes Other job related duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related fieldStrong written, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical skills Demonstrated track record of applying Quality Assurance processes, procedures, and standards Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems Working knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals Basic knowledge of database structures and query language; Microsoft SQL experience preferred2+ years of experience in automated and performance testing using Mercury automated test tool preferredPOS or PMS software experience desired
