Position Description
The Recruiting Manager is responsible for leading all linguistic (e.g. interpreters, translators) recruitment efforts for the Washington DC office. This position also will ensure that each linguist candidate completes applicable compliance and quality requirements, including the completion of any required government security documentation. This position reports directly to the Resource Manager of Lionbridge Federal.
ResponsibilitiesManage a team of 4+ recruiters. Create, implement and manage creative programs for attracting, recruiting and screening new linguist candidates. Rapidly increase freelance and full time linguist resources for new contracts upon award. Network and develop contacts with cultural organizations and other groups to recruit linguists in rarer languages. Analyze data to determine which recruitment efforts will have the greatest impact on profitability, and lead recruitment team accordingly.Manage the negotiation and documentation of payment agreements with new linguists, within the office guidelines. Participate in cross-departmental meetings to continually improve processes for qualifying new linguists. Be proactive in implementing agreed upon processes.Work closely with the QA department to ensure that testing and training requirements are completed in a timely manner.Work closely with the Production team to assess all new recruitment needs.Work closely with IT Department to implement recruitment tracking processes and tools.Collaborate with the Lionbridge corporate recruitment team to better workflow processes and leverage various skill specialties for the development of each team. Provide organized reports that clearly demonstrate recruitment progress to Resource Manager
Required Skills/BackgroundExtensive experience recruiting for DoD or Civil sector federal contracts.Three (3) years minimum of staff management experience.Ability to develop and mentor subordinate recruiters. Experience in recruiting, qualifying and contracting vendors – preferably linguists.Innate ability to prioritize work responsibilities based on business requirements.Strong skills in analyzing data to make informed decisions.Experience in conducting online research.Ability to develop and organize reference materials for recruiters, such as past recruiting efforts and their success rate.Innovative, goal-driven and organized.Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written. Able to represent Lionbridge with a high degree of professionalism.Proven capability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Desired Skills/BackgroundMust be eligible for a TS security clearance, possession a plus EVM training or experience preferredFlexibility to travel up to 50% timeWork experience in the language industry.Fluency or proficiency in a language in addition to English.Six Sigma Lite training preferred
