Our reputation and national recognition as one of the top executive search firms in the Financial Services industry has been built upon the foundation of professionalism, integrity, experience, and the proven ability to exceed the expectations of our clients.  A successful Regional Sales Manager will have documented success selling complex solutions, and managing a group of inside sales professionals as we build and manage both an internal and remote sales teams. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be leading a strong, sales team (four reps now but growing), and will also carrying a personal sales quota.  This person will be counted on to change and evolve the culture of the company to become more sales driven as they grow the business. The RSM will be responsible for growing our current footprint and help the company increase it’s inside sales force as well as open remote offices.  POSITION SUMMARY:  As a Regional Sales Manager you will be largely responsible for creating and implementing a successful marketing strategy to meet/exceed sales/profit targets and for developing an effective staff to assist in achieving the company’s financial/operational goals.  Managing, recruiting, and training the sales force in the Colorado Springs headquarters and establishing remote offices.  Develop annual budget, in cooperation with the CFO. Work directly with President to plan short and long range sales initiatives in new and existing markets.   PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   Develop effective recruiting strategies to identify qualified candidates for internal staff positions Develop a fully operational and qualified staff by hiring and training employees according to established company guidelines Identify developmental/career opportunities to ensure staff retention Coach and counsel associates on behavioral and performance issues, document and take corrective action as necessary Conduct staff performance reviews Conduct regular staff meetings Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve company objectives, projected profits, and sales goals Develop and manage to sales operating budget Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and strategic partners Review sales activity reports and pipelines with salespeople as needed Set performance goals Direct staffing, training, performance activity, quotas and assign leads Attend, exhibit, and present at conferences and trade associations Assist salespeople with presentations, review proposals, negotiate and close business, based on relationships  As part of the corporate Management Team, responsible for smooth interface of Sales with all Departments Prepare sales reports by division, industry, geography, etc.  Review and analyze cost-effectiveness and profitability of sales initiatives Other duties as assigned Maintain constructive, efficient working relationships among staff, customers, vendors and outside consultants Display dependability, independence, sound judgment.  Perform with minimum supervision SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:  Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree, with minimum of 6 + years combined consultative sales and sales management experience in the recruiting field or business to business sales management Experience in recruiting, training, and developing sales teams Track record in sales and all aspects of sales management and budgeting Superior ability to communicate verbally and in writing Experience managing remote offices High level interpersonal skills, demonstrated poise, diplomacy and professional image Strong leadership, managerial, organizational and communication skills Ability to perform business development and external sales activities Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to maintain effectiveness during change Computer literacy Ability to work flexible/extended hours when necessary High integrity is the most important trait I look for   Compensation / Benefits: The Summit Group offers great benefits as well as one of the best compensation plans in the industry.
