Do rewarding work that will have a positive impact on traveling consumers worldwide. Release Coordinator ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.· Coordinates all test environment activities; This individual works closely with Development, QA and Operations· Updates the deployment plan/timeline· Assesses risk to a release of changes in code, configuration, environment· Coordinates the inclusion of resolved defects within the release· Communicates release status to the rest of Release Management team for distribution to stakeholders· Works with delivery teams to ensure release readiness of projects· Supports developers with issues related to source control repository· Creates and refines processes in support of efficient delivery of business objectives· Supports the merge of projects and components during integration EDUCATION BS in CS/MIS or equivalent experience SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Strong experience coordinating across teams, both technical and non-technical, experience writing schedules, the ability to drive resolution of operational issues and build consensus Strong negotiating, organization and interpersonal communication skills also required Proven ability to manage projects, track issues, report status Experience with one or more of the standard software revision control, configuration management systems (Subversion, CVS, or similar) Proven ability to assess, communicate, and form strategies to mitigate risk Familiarity with web technologies, experience working with multiple simultaneous software releases, good problem solving skills, and excellent verbal/written communication skills are required Knowledge of Java programming and Linux a big plus. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of various software release methodologies and the full Software Development Lifecycle
