Report Developer

Modis is one of the world’s largest providers of information technology staffing services and solutions.  Currently we have more than 6,000 information technology professionals on assignment worldwide.  We serve more than 1,500 clients throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Report Developer  Responsibilities include:  • Design and implement reporting and business intelligence platforms across multiple applications. • Extract requirements from business users • Technical writing and documentation • Writing reports using Microsoft’s Reporting Services • Maintain datamarts of extracted data • Performing logical and physical data modeling • Developing optimized stored procedures • Implement databases in a Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 environments • Tuning databases and systems for peak performance  Required experience and attributes  • Ability to successfully interact at all levels with internal and external clients • Experience with web and browser based applications and technologies • Experience with project management • Attention to detail and has a “data stewardship” attitude • Strong problem solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication • Experience in SQL query development and query optimization • Ability to write stored procedures and complex DTS packages • Experience with Business Objects, Cognos, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services, or other business intelligence platforms preferred • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel • Develops strong working relationships and drives change • Self motivated and a high degree of intellectual curiosity • Demonstrated organizational skills & ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities • Familiarity with .NET a plus Company: Modis, Inc.
