Research and Development for a Mechanical CAD Drafter

KICKER CAR AUDIO has an immediate opening in Research and Development for a Mechanical CAD Drafter. Essential functions of job: ? Prepares drawings and is responsible for resolving associated mechanical and fabrication problems. ? Participate in designing special modifications to existing products or parts. ? Produce detailed mechanical drawings of parts and assemblies designed in a CAD package. ? Produce detailed mechanical drawings of parts and assemblies from rough sketches. ? Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. ? Performs a variety of tasks.? Works under general supervision. Requirements: ? Associates degree in related area and/or 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. ? Familiar with ANSI drafting standards. ? Proficient with current versions of Solidworks and/or Pro-Engineer. ? Experience with injection molded plastic, die cast aluminum, stamped metal and vacuum formed parts a plus. ? Proficient with MS Office, MS Word and MS Excel. ? Must be able to work in a team environment.
