Job Category: Customer Support/Client Care Relevant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: High School or equivalent Reference Code: 8898 Retail Services Technician - Plano The Retail Services Technical Technician is based at a retail technology service desk to assist in any troubleshooting or installation requests from the customer for the full gamut of computer to audio-visual needs. The technician is an expert, who is able to consult with customers and provide customized solutions for their technological life-style through explaining how the elements, from computer to audio visual options, can integrate into one living experience. Job Qualifications 2 – 3 years previous customer service experience, with 1 – 2 years in a technical support, service desk/help desk environment. Second level support experience preferred. - Sound understanding of wireless networking. - Understanding of digital photography, imaging, Bluetooth and wireless peripherals. - Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows XP Home, Professional, MCE and Windows Vista as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Strong understanding of Home Theater systems and able to make installation recommendations - Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. - Ability to self manage schedule and consistently deliver to commitments. - Ability to maintain composure in a fast paced environment. - Great verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to accurately document customer interactions in multiple platforms. - Understanding of dispatch/parts management a plus. - Ability to lift 50 lbs. - MCP; A+ certification; CEDIA certification is preferred.     Job Requirements: - Ability to establish strong rapport and trust with customers - Timely execution of computer services such as: data migration, virus removal, setup, and other offerings as determined by the business. - Ability to diagnose and repair software or hardware computer problems - Ability to perform software or hardware upgrades - Ability to consult with customer on wireless networks, Digital camera / video, MP3, PC setup, multimedia setup, and other computer needs - Provide expert understanding of home theater options to customers in a language that is suitable to them - Provide consultation to customers on how the computer options and audio visual options integrate - Positioning and transacting additional parts and services based on understanding of customer environment and needs. - Availablity to work nights and weekends as necessary Flextronics is an Equal Opportunity EmployerClick here to apply for this job http://flextronics.ats.hrsmart.com/cgi-bin/pm/click.cgi?job_id=8898&site_id=123
