SAP Analyst-Direct Hire Position in Lincolnshire, IL

DEL Technical Services is currently searching for a SAP Analyst for a client company.  This is a direct hire position located in Lincolnshire, IL.  Our client is a leading distributor and service provider of compact diesel and gasoline engines for industrial, agricultural, construction and commercial applications. This company provides a lot of stability and a great benefits package including 12 paid holiday, 3 weeks vacation to start (accrued), medical, dental, LTD, 401K, profit sharing, tuition reimbursement, company sponsored summer and winter events and a 35 hour work week. This is an exempt position. They work from 8:30 -4:30 with one hour for lunch.

The company runs its entire distribution operations on SAP R/3 (version 4.7 SAP Enterprise) they currently have the following SAP modules in production: My SAP CRM 4.0 (limited to the Internet Sales Application for R13 software), (FI) Financial Accounting, (CO) Controlling, (MM) Materials Management, (SD) Sales & Distribution, (LE) Logistics Execution, (DW) ABAP Development Workbench, (BC) Basis and (WM) Warehouse Management which includes SAP Console (for RF devices). In addition to SAP, company uses MS Office 2003 products for email and other business applications.


Duties and Responsibilities
The IT Analyst will work with the end user community in the development, design, configuration, and support of all computer applications. This involves understanding current processes and tools, evolving requirements and recommendations for new/refined processes and tools, and then documenting and communicating the development requirements all of the way through implementation of any changes.
This position is typically faced with complex challenges within its daily assignments. Actions required may not be necessarily standardized and generally have a significant impact on the organization. The expectation for each in-house analyst is that they will continue to grow his or her individual technical expertise with each opportunity or challenge that presents itself.


Background Required
An undergraduate business or technical degree is required, minimum 3 to 5 years experience with SAP R/3 (4.6c or higher preferred) in a business analysis role, preferably from the distribution or manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate for this role will have worked in a variety of SAP modules and will have already been through at least one upgrade or complete implementation.

The right person will be quality-minded and driven to achieve what is necessary for the good of the company. This position will involve developing and maintaining positive relationships with a diverse group of employees and managers and should regularly set an example of efficiency in performing all work to the best of their abilities.

Supplemental training on SAP is encouraged and paid for by the company. Limited travel (for training purposes primarily) is required.
