SAS DataWarehousing: Our client has immediate openings for a permanent SAS DataWarehousing in the Phoenix area.

 

Candidate’s will involve heavy data mining and data modeling to get the correct subsets of data in to their models for analysis. The purpose of the contract position is to save the full time staff the data gathering process which can be fairly labor intensive. The full time staff focuses on interpreting analytics based on the data, and want their focus to be on that.

 

Overall Purpose
Develops and interprets analytic data models to produce the highest level of fraud prediction and prevention.

Essential Functions
Performs data ETL, data step processing, data manipulation, macro creation, data transformation, variable construction, and optimization of large datasets.
Cleans data and generates descriptive statistics.
Creates updates and audits reports.
Creates statistical output from ad hoc and planned requests under direction of senior analysts.
Complies with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained.

Requirements
BS degree in related discipline (e.g.: Math, Statistics, Computer Science, MIS, etc.).
2+ years experience in SAS (We use PC V9.1) .
Base SAS, Proc SQL, data step programming, SAS Macro.
2+ years data analysis experience.
Banking industry experience preferred.
Disciplined programming experience including adherence to best practices language is of lesser importance.
Knowledge of relational database structure and SQL.
Ability to translate non-technical business questions into quantifiable analysis tasks.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
