Apptis is looking for a SATCOM Transmission Engineer to join our team at MacDill, AFB in Tampa, Florida!

The SATCOM Transmission Engineer will on a 24x5 basis, Support the planning, engineering, provisioning and implementation of satellite-based telecommunications networks and services. Assist in the development of systems engineering solutions to satisfy satellite network operational requirements, system control requirements, and user requirements. Perform systems engineering and analysis of user requirements, identify appropriate satellite and terminal resources needed to support user requirements. Develop individual link budgets, related network and transponder loading, and performance estimates; and satellite communications systems infrastructure plans and satellite communications control plans. Develop plans to optimize transponder usage on a regional and system-wide basis. Coordinate with the RSSC and DISA; validate satellite access request, validate gateway access request, disseminate SAR/GAR validation to CCJ6C, review returned satellite access and gateway access authorizations for discrepancies, review all ASI, and file/record mission information and manage SATCOM frequency and transponder allocations. Analyze information requirements. Evaluate analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action plans.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Systems, Systems Engineering, or other related scientific or technical disciplineMinimum of five years experience, of which at least three years must be specialized. Specialized experience includes: analytically solving problems of workflows, organization and planning. General experience includes increasing responsibilities in systems engineering.
