SENIOR INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER, SALES TRAINING

GEICO, the nation's 4th largest and fastest growing auto insurance company.  We are looking for a talented and experienced senior instructional designer to work on our Corporate Sales Training Team.  The candidate chosen for this position is someone who has the potential for a future training management role. Responsibilities-  Results-oriented designer who can create and manage training design project plans from inception to pilot. -  Ability to lead/manage team members in the future.-  Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and the eLearning Development Team to develop instructor-led training (ILT) materials, eLearning storyboards, and web-based training solutions.-  Independently research and build training solutions without the full reliance of an SME.-  Review and edit existing eLearning and ILT content.-  Analyze performance results, identify strengths or gaps in performance, and recommend training-based solutions as needed.-  Coach and support Sales trainers and training teams remotely or by traveling to regional locations (limited travel).-  Work with a Learning Management System to capture and report on course completion results. Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Design, Educational Technology, with curriculum experience. An advanced degree in Instructional Design or Curriculum Development is a preferred. -  No less than 3 - 5 years experience utilizing instructional design and adult learning theory principles.-  Strong knowledge of instructional design methodology.-  Knowledge of Captivate, Lectora, html, Dreamweaver, PhotoShop. Flash is a plus.-  Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. -  Ability to manage multiple projects including excellent detail-orientation and organizational skills.-  High-level verbal and written communication skills. -  Excellent interpersonal skills.-  Ability to work independently and in a team setting (across remote locations) adhering to deadlines and project plans. -  Prior sales call center experience is a plus. Salary will commensurate with experience and skills.
