SENIOR SHAREPOINT (MOSS) ADMINSTRATOR

JOB DEFINITION Support managed infrastructure to provide Web Services throughout the organization.  This resource is a member of the SharePoint support team, leading and participating in current state assessments, evaluating improvement opportunities, and formulating future state approaches related to SharePoint.  Interfaces closely with the business users to understand their needs and expected usage to determine the design and development of new sites and/or web parts.  Helps develop and introduce best practices into both the user and developer communities.  SKILLS/LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY/SUPERVISION Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. Has appreciable latitude for unreviewed action or decision. This fully competent professional level may be assisted by lower level personnel. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of moderately difficult assignments. Works under minimal supervision. Requires thorough knowledge of SharePoint 2003 and MOSS 2007 administration and in using SharePoint products and technologies, including: creating and managing site collections, creating, managing and using SharePoint lists and sites.  Experience working with custom web parts and custom site templates, and in troubleshooting issues, including end user support.  Success in this role also requires excellent interpersonal communication, organizational and project management skills, and a demonstrated proficiency using MS Office 2003 Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).  Desired skills: SharePoint Developer skills, usability and MS Office 2007 Suite. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree preferred.
