POSITION TITLE: SES Costpoint Application Specialist

Job Description:

 

Provide high level technical support to implement, troubleshoot and support Deltek ERP applications and supporting infrastructure.  Configure and install Deltek Costpoint (including all modules) along with necessary 3rd party software. Integrate hardware/Costpoint/3rd party software at all designated Sealaska subsidiary sites. Make recommendations to SES and Sealaska on systems required to run Deltek applications. Evaluate, plan and implement upgrades/enhancements to these applications as they become available.. Address networking, security and performance considerations. Document all Costpoint issues, solutions and work orders.  The person will analyze and resolve end user software program and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion.  This position is located at the SES Bellevue Office and reports to the SES Controller with a joint reporting relationship to Sealaska IT.

 

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support messaging and printer systems in Costpoint.

• Coordinate with Sealaska to distribute and supervise server storage space allotments.

• Provide on-call technical support for Costpoint.

• Analyze costpoint application usage and plan for growth or increases in network capacity.

• Assess, in collaboration with Sealaska IT, the need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them if required.

• Ensure connectivity of all SES employees to Costpoint as needed.

• Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of additional modules in Costpoint.

• In conjunction with the IT Manager Develop, implement and maintain policies and  procedures for the operation, support, maintenance, and availability of the Costpoint application, servers and supporting infrastructure.

• Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.

• Perform system backups.

• Monitor and report  Costpoint and related infrastructure performance and availability.

• Evaluate and recommend solutions to improve performance or reliability.

• Recommend, schedule, and perform Costpoint software improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases.

• Manage and/or provide guidance to members of the team.

• Assists and or performs special projects as required and other duties as assigned.

• Duties from time to time may be updated and changed to better reflect current workload conditions

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

 Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards. Strong knowledge of local area network administration. Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience. Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. Adept at reading and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals. Ability to conduct research into software issues and products as required. Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language. Highly self motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education: College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or four years equivalent work experience required.

Minimum Experience:

· Four or more years of hands on experience of networking, server hardware, third party software, and RDMS.

· Two years of hands on experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting and configuring Microsoft Sql server.

· Must be well versed in backup and recovery methodologies.

·  Two years Deltek Costpoint Application operation, administration, and support.
