SMS Technician

Permanent Position with a Global Leader!A company located in Denton has an immediate full-time need for an SMS Technician. In this technical role you will work as a team member of the Client Platform Software Distribution Service within Technical Infrastructure. The successful candidate will be based in Denton as part of a multicultural and diverse team, providing technical support to this client's internal companies globally. There will be occasional international travel. You will have a wide number of exciting responsibilities. As SMS Administrator you will maintain SMS Infrastructure health, capacity planning, and escalation point (support level 3). As SMS Packager you will create, test software packages, distribute to distribution points, and advertise. As SMS Operator you will incident mgmt, service request mgmt (Support Level 2), and SW Distribution. Our client is seeking someone that's focused and analytical person who always takes accountability/responsibility of assigned tasks. That's customer and business oriented. Very organized. Excellent communication skills in English and a team player who can investigate and drive issues independently. A detailed oriented person. Flexible, multi-tasking and self motivated. Ideal candidate will have: A required university degree or a diploma from a specialized school; Deep understanding of SMS 2003; Working knowledge of packaging concepts and tools (Wise package Studio is a plus); Familiar with Microsoft Technology (SQL, AD, Windows Server 2003); Working knowledge of SQL Server is desirable; A solid background in networking concepts and implementations (IP addresses, subnets, WAN concepts, LAN concepts, etc); Experience with Enterprise implementations of Microsoft Applications (SQL, AD, Exchange); Process orientation; and a desire to have participated in multinational/global project teams. This is a permanent position.
