SOA Solutions Architect / SOA Developer

BROOKEDGE Technologies, a leader in Enterprise Architecture and Compliance is leading SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) initiatives for our client. We are leading the development of SOA architecture and implementations using SOA principles and technologies. We are looking for a hands-on SOA architect with JAVA/SOA development experience - for a couple of projects.

 

This project is in West Coast. We want someone who can be at the client site with us from Monday through Thursday. Please do not apply if you cannot travel.

 

This position will report to Brookedge’s SOA Practice Lead and Chief SOA Architect.

 

Responsibilities include:

  Lead some of the SOA architecture and implementation initiatives in a large SOA project. Leverage the SOA principles and concepts and Participate and lead certain areas in the Architecture, Design and Implementation of a new SOA based architecture, Roadmap, Implementation strategy. Hands on development  Use SOA tools such as IBM WebSphere Process Server, Oracle in building the Architecture and Solution. Development of Proof of Concept application with hands-on experience. Define and lead some of the SOA Governance and Service Life Cycle governance initiatives. Lead some of the Technical Requirements gathering with other team members. Lead some Solution architecture initiatives. Interact with business analysts, stakeholders and end-users to understand requirements. Develop use-cases and define the behavioral model for the application; Work with developers to define services, workflows and workflow. Hands on development experience in creating application and solution using the SOA tools and Java technologies.

 

Experience:

  10+ Years Experience in IT 3+ years as an Applications or Solutions Architect; 4 year college degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Masters preferred; 3+ years experience using IBM, Oracle or Tibco. Specific experience with IBM WebSphere Process Server, ESB and WebSphere Application Server, Oracle SOA Suite and / or Tibco Active Matrix. 3+ years experience in JAVA technologies J2EE, JRE, JDK, JMS, JTS, Hibernate 3+ years experience in Oracle Database; 3+ years experience in using SOA technologies: SOA Design patterns, Web Services, WSDL, ESB, UDDI, BAM, Metadata; Security experience building integrated security architecture, Policy Server, Entitlement Manager, SSO; Lead Applications Architect or Solutions Architect experience on a large project; Diverse technology and solutions experience building Application & Integration architecture leveraging Databases Java technology, .Net technology, Security tools & technologies such as SSO, Policy server, Entitlement Manager, Middleware technologies; Development Experience in an environment based upon the following technologies: SOA, JAVA, J2EE, Distributed Computing, Transaction Processing, Databases, Energy/Utility applications; Experience in RUP/UML design tools such as Rational Architect or Business Modeler;

  Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills and ability to interact with customer with professionalism. Strong interpersonal skills.
